You always wanted to explore Zurich's chocolate scene but didn’t know where to begin? The map below will give you some ideas. We have marked our favorite chocolatiers, shops, and also some cafes if you would like to grab a drink or a pastry. Below you can find a short description of each chocolate place. We do know there are a lot of big brands when it comes to chocolate making and reselling of this precious good. However, our map is trying to concentrate on smaller, more hidden gemmy tips. So do keep that in mind when reading and commenting!
Find the best places to buy chocolate in Zurich in our opinion and Enjoy!

Discover exceptional chocolates like laflor, Garçoa, and Original Beans at BachserMärt Kalkbreite, where every product tells a story of craftsmanship and sustainability. A haven for Zurich’s discerning palates. At the moment of writing they still have the Glam Hazelnuts (pictured above) from laflor so go get them (or any nuts you get there). Another favorite of ours when it comes to milk chocolate is Original Beans Esmeraldas 42%. Berg und Tal Viadukt
Berg und Tal Viadukt offers a curated selection of local products, including delicious chocolates from Garçoa, laflor, Taucherli, and more. A perfect spot to discover Zurich’s finest artisanal treats. And you can also combine your visit with checking out the awesome shops and restaurants at Viadukt!
Famous for its outstanding cheese selection, Chäs-Chäller also delights with premium Taucherli chocolate. This unique blend of artisanal cheese and fine chocolate makes it a standout destination in Zurich. If you are looking to go down childhood memory lane, check out Taucherli Petazeta and prepare for a surprise.

A hidden gem in Zurich, Garçoa specializes in bean-to-bar chocolate crafted with organic, ethically sourced cacao. Their minimalist approach highlights pure, bold flavors, making their bars and hot chocolate a must-try for true chocolate aficionados. Check out their webiste to visit them during one of their Chocolate Safaris but keep in mind the website is in German. Also - their design is so satisfying!
This family-run confiserie has been delighting Zurich since 1905. Their artisanal chocolates, pastries, and cakes are made with love and tradition. Try their grand cru pralines or the famous Honold cake for a true taste of Swiss heritage. Around November and December, we strongly recommend the Schoggi Tram with their chocolate -the best hot chocolate we ever had.
Experience Swiss chocolate artistry at Jacot Haute Chocolaterie, renowned for its handcrafted pralines, luxurious truffles, and preference for premium Criollo cocoa. A must-visit for chocolate lovers in Zurich. They have also great options if you are looking for chocolate without sugar.

Schwarzenbach offers a selection of fine chocolates many of which are single origin. Their vintage ambiance and carefully curated products make this a delightful stop for food enthusiasts. Don't miss out on their hot chocolate - we recommend plant milk to emphasize the taste of the cacao. And Marou and Orfeve are two awesome chocolate brands we want to mention here.
laflor Manufactory crafts exceptional bean-to-bar chocolate in Zurich, focusing on quality and sustainability. Known for their premium creations, they also welcome visitors during special events, offering a behind-the-scenes look at their chocolate-making process. We recommend the goat cheese chocolate from them if you can get your hands on it, do it!

Nestled in Zurich’s old town, Max Chocolatier combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative flavors. Their seasonal collections and focus on high-quality ingredients make every bite special. Perfect for gifting or savoring yourself. Don't forget to set up a reminder to order their Advent Calendar as it is made to order. Trust us, you won't regret it. And if the mountain pepper white chocolate is available, you are in luck!
